Seminar for Food Manufacturers

Close to 250 industry guests attended the "Seminar for Food Manufacturers" held on 2 Jun 2008 at Temasek Applied Science School (ASc), followed by a tour of the School's laboratories. This seminar was jointly organised by HDB, Industrial Properties Department (IPD) and ASc and supported by Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA) and National Environment Agency (NEA). Invited speakers from NEA, AVA and ASc were on hand to talk about food hygiene practices, food factory grading system and food consultancy/analytical services offered by ASc.

Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors' Award

A joint team of students from Temasek Applied Science School (ASc) and Temasek Engineering School (ENG) has been awarded the prestigious Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors' Award (Commendation Award) for their project on "Harnessing Heat Energy From Kitchen's Stove".

ASc's Project Show 2008

Proteomics Seminar

Occupational Safety & Health Seminar

The OSH seminar increased students' awareness of occupational safety and health in the workplace. It is targetted at ASc students in their second year of study before they attend their internship training.
Green Wave Environmental Care Competition

ASc students from the Diploma in Chemical Engineering won the Commendation Award in the Sembawang Shipyard's Green Wave Environmental Care Competition 2007. Their project titled "Generating and Optimising Electricity from Industrial and Household Waste" involves reclaiming copper from waste generated by electronic companies and zinc from exhausted batteries collected from households.
TP wins Young Marine Biologist Award
