Temasek Applied Science School (ASc) aims to link up with the industry to enhance staff's capability development and students' learning experience. By developing partnerships with the industry through consultancy, collaborative R&D projects, joint training programmes, student internship programmes and job placements, ASc hopes to create opportunities for staff and students to be at the frontiers of new industry knowledge and trends. These industry link-up efforts also infuse a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship in our teaching and learning environment.
Companies or research organisations with close links with ASc include:
- Sinomem Technology Limited for providing overseas student internship and staff attachment placements;
- Institute of Chemical and Engineering Sciences (ICES) through a research and collaborative agreement in nanotechnology;
- Pet Enterprises and Traders Association of Singapore (PETAS) in collaborative training in pet care and management;
- Singapore General Hospital (SGH) , Changi General Hospital (CGH), Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and National Health Group (NHG) Polyclinics in the form of collaborative training for Biomedical Science students studying pharmaceutical science and biomedical technology;
- Singapore Chinese Physicians' Association (SCPA) in herbal medicine research, development of the TP Herb Gardens and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) education;
- Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and National University of Singapore in research and collaborative agreements in TCM;
- Woon Leng Nursery for the production of orchid plantlets;
- National Environment Agency (NEA) for the collaborative School Canteen Food Hygiene Competition for secondary schools; and
- Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association (SFMA) for the provision of consultancy and training programmes for the food manufacturing industry.
