The Temasek Applied Science School (ASc) has embarked on an innovative way of teaching students with its own off campus Training Factory "KoolWerkz".  KoolWerkz is set up at Block 3017 unit #04-20, Bedok North Street 5, Gourmet East Kitchen in June 2005.

Committed to providing a hands-on training approach for entrepreneurship development, ASc in conjunction with Entrepreneurship Centre, offers opportunities to all TP students to learn in technical as well as business related fields.

Equipped with the complete set of ice cream making plant and facilities, the school exposed students to a myriad of learning opportunities in ice cream processing, inventory management, ISO 14000, HACCP, quality control and assurance, packaging, logistics and marketing functions as in real business scenarios. The skills and knowledge can be picked up as part of student's projects for various subjects, Major Projects, Student Internship Programme, Differential Research Programme as well as Cross Disciplinary Subjects as Entrepreneurship Projects.

Presently, the Training Factory produces 3 flavours of frozen desserts namely Green Tea, Mango and Strawberry flavours, packed in tubs of sizes 445ml, 5 litres and in gastronome packing. Development of more varieties of ice cream in exotic flavours are in progress.
